Included here are a couple of classical compositions and some
not classical pieces. The files include:

	Adagio.mid	Adagio for Orchestra
	SctFtsy.mid	Scottish Fantasy
	Twilite.mid
	Samba.mid	Zombie Samba
	Seasons.mid	Impressions on the Seasons

In some cases I have included files that can be found at other
locations (AOL to be precise). So if you think you have heard
these pieces before let me first state that these are revisions
that I consider more polished than those versions. Also, I like
the idea that these will be heard on similar equipment as that
on which they were composed. In a sense I believe that the
SCUG folks will have a better opportunity to hear the pieces
as I intended.

The Adagio for Orchestra is inspired by Samuel Barber's famous
Adagio. This is actually the 2nd movement of a larger piece
that is in progress.

The Scottish Fantasy is a piece for string orchestra and solo
violin based on Scottish fiddle tunes from the time of the Jacobite
uprising in 1745.

Zombie Samba came about after the death of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
I found myself listening to a lot of his music afterwards and
wanted to try a Samba thing to see what would come out.

Impressions on the Seasons is still in progress. Actually what is
represented here is really 3 out of 4 seasons. The second of the
set was written last summer and is titled Summer Paradise, inspired
by the beach songs of my youth. The first and third pieces came
out of nowhere about two weeks ago. The spring section was nothing
more than an excersise in fun. The autumn section was an attempt
at jazz rhythms with an emphasis on disecting melody lines and
placing the bits across different instruments. I will be writing
another piece for the winter section later when something comes to
me.

Twilite.mid is currently without a title. I found I was fascinated
by the X-Files theme and wanted to see what I could come up with.
This is what came out. The piece is actually number two of a set of
pieces I was working on while dwelling on ideas for Sci-Fi themes.
Number one is incomplete.
