The SCUG Archives

Index to SCUG archives Welcome to the net archives of the SoundCanvas Users Group. Currently there are sixteen archives for you to peruse. They are all stored in the pk-zip format. The best way to uncompress them (DOS style anyway) is to put each one in it's own directory and use pkzip with the -d command line option. Otherwise you'll end up with fifty or sixty MIDI files all sitting in the same directory. Confusing to say the least.. ;-) The archives represent some of the best original music the 'net has to offer. If you own a Roland SoundCanvas or completely SysEx compatible synth, you've definitely come to the right place!

ALL MUSIC IS COPYRIGHT OF THE COMPOSER. ANY USE OF THESE SONGS BEYOND YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE REQUIRES PERMISSION FROM THE COMPOSER. PLEASE SEE THE TEXT FILES ENCLOSED IN EACH ARCHIVE FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO CONTACT THEM.

Visit SCUG-Lite where SCUGGERS vote for their favorites in each archive. You took the time to download the archives. You took the time to listen. Why not take the time to give the composer some feedback?

Note to archive keepers and ftp administrators: if you make these files available on other sites, please e-mail me so I can keep you updated if the contents of the files change.

Please also note: do NOT break up the archives or make MIDI files available individually without permission from the songwriter. You can find all of their e-mail addresses in the text files included in each archive. Thank you for adhering to this policy religiously...

Thanks - Gary Agnew.
